How To Calculate Quantity Of Tiles Required For Wall / Cladding / Dado

In this Video Tutorial, We will learn How to Calculate Quantity of Tiles Required for Wall Cladding at Construction Site.

First Calculate the Perimeter of the Room which is given below in the picture



Perimeter of Room = 1 + 4 + 6 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 22 meter

We have assumed cladding Height as 2.4 meter

Total Wall Area Including Door & Window = 22 x 2.4 = 52.8 Square meter

Now we have to Less area of Door and Window to get the area of Cladding.

[Door Dimension : Length = 1 meter ; Height = 2.4 meter]

Area of Door to be less = 1 x 2.4 = 2.4 Square meter 

[Window Dimension : Length = 1.2 meter ; Height = 1.2 meter]

Area of Window to be less = 1.2 x 1.2 = 1.44 Square meter 

Total Area For Cladding = Total Wall Area - Area of Door - Area of Window
                                           = 52.8 - 2.4 - 1.44 = 48.96 Square meter

We have assumed Tile Size (0.3 meter x 0.3 meter) For Cladding

Area of One Tile = 0.3 x 0.3 = 0.09 Square meter

Numbers of Tiles Required = Total area for cladding / Area of one tile
                                             = 48.96 / 0.09
                                             = 544 Numbers

We have assumed Wastage as 5 %

Therefore, Numbers of Tiles including Wastage = 544 + 5% of 544
                                                                                  = 572 Numbers
